The Council on Humane Giving is administered by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM). Founded in 1985, PCRM is a nonprofit organization supported by more than 6,000 physicians and 100,000 laypersons. PCRM promotes preventive medicine through innovative programs and encourages higher standards for ethics and effectiveness in research.
